US Cash Products-Gasoline diffs up despite supply build
Friday, October 10, 2008
Reuters -- NEW YORK, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Cash gasoline rose across the hubs despite a big build in national stockpiles, with the New York Harbor seeing a rise in demand for physical barrels, traders said on Thursday.

"There's a lot of demand, everyone's refilling after supply disruptions due to the hurricanes; the stock build was primarily in the Gulf Coast," said one gasoline trader in the NY Harbor referring to recent hurricanes Ike and Gustav.

National gasoline supplies logged a bigger-than-forecast rise of 7.2 million barrels to 186.8 million last week, the government said Wednesday, with all regions showing gains.

TXYANKEE, I agree. This mess could have been mostly sorted out if Nanci Pelosi hadn't taken a vacation during the hight of the fuel crisis. Fortunately, fuel prices down here have finally dropped below the $3.00 mark. I didn't think that I would see it go this low again this year and I'm glad, but I don't know how long it will last.

Don't forget txyankee, the president also vetos bills and this clown vetoed plenty of good bills. Don't forget, if you don't agree with Bush, you're a terrorest and he does have the lowest rating of any other president EVER. We need change at the top and it's not 4 more years of Bush thinking. McCain was a maverick at one time, but he has fallen in line now.

"Cash gasoline rose across the hubs"...
"restart of the catalytic cracker"...
"PADD1"...

- and yet it looks so much like English...

I don't want to say this, but I believe that gas prices are near the bottom and may start to rise as the refineries change to the winter blend.

price will go higher soon. we have a do nothing democrate congress for 2 years. Now if a democrate is elected there will be complete caous of do nothings running the us. they will tax the big companies causing them to cut back employment and some will even move out of coutry . get ready for the biggest depression of all time. Congress and senate are the ones who creat laws while the president is the one who sign's them... Vote all incumbents out of office this election cycle. that would be the real change..

We are still facing supply problems, high prices and OPEC is making noises about cutting production to prop up oil prices. We must, as a country, abandon oil as an energy source and take the power away from these corrupt OPEC nations. Support alternate, renewable, domestic energy.

Gas will go up after the election, no matter who wins. If McBush wins, the oil companies will know they have a free ride for another 4 years and if Barak Obama wins, oil companies will have to get in one more gouging before things change.

so wholesalers demand is 'up' after manipulating their supplies to skew the market, but consumers demands are down since we've lost our jobs, our houses, our retirement funds, so we're not going anywhere except the unemployment office.

thx, petroterrorists.

This seems to continue to be a correction from the hurricane and probably can't be analyzed into something else at this point.

Don't believe Global warming. I live in Rochester MN, this year we did not make it to 90 degrees (highest temp was 89). This is one of only 4 times (since weather has been recorded here) that this has happened.

So we were COOLER than normal.

And what has Al Gore Done to combate higher fuel prices? Oh yeah, he's not in power. OK, what has Nancy P. done to combate higher gas prices. This HUGE run up happened on her watch as speaker!

Localized gas supply is probably not a good idea - the problem Tennessee, Georgia and other SE states faced a few weeks ago is a case in point.
