Thanks for your comment on the "Recycling Land for Green Energy Ideas" story. I believe you and I see it about the same way. Divide and conquer. The only real reason I see for these huge projects is because of the dense populations in our cities, not everyone has a roof. AND, many do not understand why it is so important to fully utilize our every resource.
Denial is not just a river in Eqypt. LOL
Hope you are staying comfy and well up there in Saskatoon.

www.chevrolet.com/pages/open/default/future/volt.do "What happens if I travel more than 40 miles? Once the initial electric charge is depleted, the range-extending gas engine will kick in to seamlessly generate enough energy to continue to power the car for hundreds of additional miles."

Hello again ;0)
Been a while. Hope you are staying warm and well up there. I thought if you had a chance you might visit a little article I put up last night and offer some perspective. Quite a few GBytes still think the electric company has only their best interests at heart. Much like BIG OIL ....

Take care.

Such true words on the PD BLOG! Amen!

of course it is gas related. It will cut Oil usage to create electricity

Thank you for sharing your experience regarding solar power. Every little bit helps. How is the weather up there?

Your comment, "Although interesting ... what has this to do with the price of gas?"

The best way to meet peak power demand you ask. You guessed it gas turbines. Anything to reduce peak demand decreases our need for petroleum products. Less demand less cost. Econ 101 when applied works.
